Clare Duathlon Series

On Sunday 10th March, under very challenging weather conditions, 85 brave competitors took to the start line in Doonbeg for the West Clare Duathlon, the first race in the inaugural Clare Duathlon Series.

The West Clare Duathlon held in Doonbeg on Sunday 10th March was the first duathlon in the Clare Duathlon Series.

The second duathlon in the series organised by Ennis Triathlon Club on Sunday 24th March in Ennis and the third duathlon is organised by Boru Triathlon Club on Sunday 7th April in Killaloe.

While each duathlon is an individual club event, there will be an overall trophy prize for the best of two races entered (Male/Female)

There is a cash prize at each individual race for 1st Male/1st Female, 2nd Male/2nd Female, 3rd Male/3rd Female and 1st relay team.

Each duathlon costs €20 to enter per individual and €30 for a relay team.

As this is a Triathlon Ireland sanctioned race you will require a Triathlon Ireland one day licence at an additional cost of €5 if you do not have full 2013 Triathlon Ireland membership.

1st race: West Clare Triathlon Club –  3k run-22k cycle-3k run  Sunday 10th March
2nd race: Ennis Triathlon Club –  2.7k run – 17k cycle – 2.4k run  Sunday 24th March
3rd race:  Boru Triathlon Club –  5k run – 18k cycle – 3k run   Sunday 7th April
